Introductory Workshops
he best way to get a good sense of what mindfulness has to offer is to experience it - so this evening workshop comprises a range of short mindfulness practices, together with an overview of the principles of mindfulness and a little about its origins and current applications. The evening serves as a taster for those curious about mindfulness and can help to inform decisions about whether to embark on an eight week course, which is the standard basic mindfulness training. So it can be entirely stand alone or may whet the appetite to take things further, but either way the evening gives a good sense of what mindfulness has to offer.
Retreat Days
A retreat day provides the opportunty to "retreat" in a positive sense
Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Course (MBSR)
Jon Kabat-Zinn established the format of the MBSR course in the '80s working with a wide range of clients, many of whom had gone beyond the help of any known medical intervention. The course is now proven to have helped tens of thousands, as well as its efficacy being substantiated through rigorous clinical trials.
One to One - Couples
While a group-based course has many advantages to recommend it, we are also able to offer mindfulness training one-to-one, or in pairs, etc. This can be tailored to your particular circumstances either as a weekly eight-week course, or as something more flexible, to suit your schedule. Please contact us to discuss how we can help.
Drop in events
These monthly evening drop in sessions are aimed to support you in your personal mindfulness practice. Practising with others and with some guidance is an excellent way to keep our practice of mindfulness fresh and alive. Whether you’ve attended an eight week course or have developed your own practice by some other avenue these sessions provide an opportunity for you to ‘plug in’ and practice with others once a month. There is also time for sharing and discussion around mindfulness themes. As well as supporting established mindfulness practitioners in maintaining their practice these evenings can also serve as a taster for those new to mindfulness to experience a little of what it's all about.
